Learning how your thoughts and actions affect the world around you on a deeper level is the only way you can ever discover your true potential that would otherwise remain hidden from you. This is why becoming more consciously aware of your inner-self and your surroundings are of paramount importance. When you understand how outwardly things affect you internally and how your thoughts and intentions literally create the world around you, adjusting your mindset accordingly will guarantee your success in anything you pursue. This is the most important skill you can ever learn because success in any and all other endeavors hinges upon this higher reality.
Discovering Your Eternal Nature
Coming to the realization that you are an eternal being is a huge step towards personal growth. Understanding your eternal nature eliminates the fear of death, and when you are no longer afraid of death all of these other fears that have been holding you back through out your life diminish exceedingly, if not completely. This is monumental as many who discover this about themselves are never the same afterwards. It is of paramount importance that you come to this realization since discovering this about yourself has the tendency to change your whole perspective on life. Your priorities in life are guaranteed to change as a result.
Obtaining Enlightenment through Direct Experience
Understanding your relationship with external reality and discovering your eternal nature can only be accomplished by having direct experiences. This cannot and will not happen intellectually, or with the mind alone. This means taking action is a must. So one must learn certain techniques and be open-minded enough to actually apply them in order to have the experiences that are necessary to obtain true enlightenment. Just like anything else, dedication is a must. Like riding a bike or anything else that requires any level of skill, you may (and probably will) have to fail many times before you are successful. Nobody becomes a professional football player, singer, or musician, etc overnight. Hard work and perseverance is the only way. The path to true enlightenment is not for the faint of heart.
Upon discovering your eternal nature and how you truly relate to the world around you on a deeper level through direct experience, internalizing these truths will empower you, inspiring you to accept full responsibility for everything in your life. This will prove to be an unshakable foundation that will support you throughout your entire life. Conversely, without this foundation set in place your quest for growth in any aspect of life may be doomed before it even starts, collapsing like a house of cards at any given moment.
